Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) for 3 and 4 year olds

All children are eligible for up to 570 hours funding per year, starting in the term following their third birthday. A child is eligible for the Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) in line with the Department of Education table below:

A child born on or between Will become eligible for a free place from
1 April and 31 August Start of Autumn Term in September, following their 3rd birthday
1 September and 31 December Start of Spring Term in January, following their 3rd birthday
1 January and 31 March Start of Summer Term in April, following their 3rd birthday

The 570 funded hours can be taken as 15 hours per week for 38 weeks each year or ‘stretched’ funding of 12 hours per week for 48 weeks of the year. If your child attends for any additional sessions or comes to nursery during non-funded weeks the prices are charged at regular nursery prices for the over 2’s (please call for the latest prices). We are not a term-time only nursery and cannot offer an unlimited number of FEEE only places, the available places will be offered on a first come first served basis, with children that are eligible for EYPP getting priority . You do not need to pay a deposit or a registration fee if your child attends for the FEEE sessions only.

We offer the following FEEE sessions;

All Day Session 8:00am -6:00pm (using 10 FEEE hours)

Afternoon Session 1:30pm – 6:30pm (using 5 FEEE hours)

Your child will therefore be able to have either three afternoon sessions or a full day and one afternoon session free of charge during the funded weeks, we just ask for a small voluntary contribution for food and drinks.

You will be required to sign a Parental Declaration form at the start of each term during ‘headcount’ week to confirm the number of FEEE hours you will be claiming at Little Rascals. We will need to see your child’s birth certificate before FEEE can be claimed and we will take a note of the reference number. If your child starts after ‘headcount’ week at the start of the term then funding will not be able to be secured until the following term if funding has already been claimed elsewhere.

All sessions are subject to availability. For more information please call us or fill out a ‘contact us’ form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
